The government of the Republic of Slovenia delivered Zois prize to prof. Janko Kos for excellent research achievements in proteolysis and its regulation. The results of last seven years were considered for evaluation. Zois prize is the highest award for research work in the Republic of Slovenia.
E.01 National awards
In 2013 the the members of programme group coorganised 7th Conference on Experimental and Translational Oncology. These conferences are already traditional and well established and known internationally. The aim of the conference wass to present the most recent research in the fields of carcinogenesis, mechanisms of tumour progression, antitumour immune response, new drugs and therapeutic targets, and delivery systems, with a special focus on faster transfer of the results of basic research to clinical practice. The proceedings are published in Radiology & Oncology (IF 1,95) where the programme leader participates as editor.
B.01 Organiser of a scientific meeting
COBISS.SI-ID: 266440192The members of the project group are coauthors of the book Advanced Phytotherapy on therapeutic application of drugs of plant origin, also in therapy of cancer. The book was awarded by Slovenian Science Fundation (Prometej znanosti) for popularization of science.
C.02 Editorial board of a national monograph
COBISS.SI-ID: 269969664The patent was given for isolation of liquid refined antioxidative essence from bark of fir, which can be used as food additive to adjust the need of antioxidants in diet, as drug in pathophysiological conditions and as additive in cosmetics.
F.06 Development of a new product
COBISS.SI-ID: 3470961In last year the members of the project group were the tutors of several outstanding doctoral thesis. The best was doctoral thesis of Anja Pišlar, awarded by Pregl prize.
