SiNAPSA is a Slovenian Neuroscience Association that links Slovenian and international neuroscientists in scientific and research projects, educates the general public on neural function in health and disease, on the importance of neuroscience research and the implication on individual and society quality of life. Dr. Koritnik was the secretary of the organisational committee that organized an international conference SiNAPSA Neuroscience Conference '11. This was the most important European neuroscience event in 2011, taking place in Ljubljana between 22 and 25 September. There were over 500 registered participants from 44 countries.

Furthermore, results expected by motor neuron, peripheral nerve and muscle were presented and discussed.

COBISS.SI-ID: 28678873Uroneurophysiological testing is a direct extension of neurological examination; both are testing neurological function. No direct correlation with whole organ (dys)function (LUT, anorectal, sexual) should be expected. One exception may be the syndrome of female urinary retention due to Fowler syndrome with the "diagnostic" profuse repetitive discharges in urethral sphincter. Concentric needle EMG and bulbocavernosus reflex can be considered established for the use in selected patient groups with (suspected) peripheral nervous system involvement (traumatic, congenital and compressive lesions affecting conus medullaris, cauda equina, sacral plexus and pudendal nerves). Electrodiagnostics cannot clarify the controversial "pudendal neuralgia" syndrome, which has been defined clinically. Several tests may be applicable intraoperatively.
