Symposium offered an overview of clinical neurophysiological methods available for the functional evaluation of neural pathways involved in perception of pain. There were lectures and workshops. Introduced were the methods of the silent cutaneous period, withdrawal reflexes, laser evoked somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEP), and contact heat SEP. The symposium was also an overview of the possibilities in Slovenia to advance clinical work and research in the area of neuropathic pain.
