The textbook thoroughly presents a wide range of alternative technologies: electrical discharge machining, abrasive water jet cutting, laser, plasma and flame cutting, electrochemical and chemical machining and ultrasound machining. The procedures are examined on the applicative level, however, certain theoretical issues could not be ignored. Thus, a textbook is adequate/appropriate not only for students who enroll Alternative technologies in the third year of bachelor program (I. degree) at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, but also for students of the first year master's program (II. degree) who upgrade the theoretical knowledge gained from the textbook, with subject of the course Unconventional processes. Even engineers who are constantly faced with the challenges of modern production, will in this textbook obtain a lot of useful information and enrich their knowledge.
