The introductory tutorial »Robotics« evolved through more than 10 years of teaching robotics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. The major feature of the book is its simplicity. The textbook is supplemented with short English-German-French vocabulary. The book earned an Outstanding Academic Title distinction from the American library magazine CHOICE. The 2010 list features 679 titles from 54 disciplines. The list of the best includes nine titles from the area of engineering and seven Springer titles.

COBISS.SI-ID: 23409703A robotic system, developed in a framework of "TRIMO Development of E Technology of Assembly” for automatic assembly of facade panels in construction, was qualified as a finalist for “Technology Transfer Award” jointly given by EUROP - the European Robotics Technology Platform and EURON - EUropean RObotics research Network. After presentation in San Sebastian, Spain, on 11th March 2010 the project was given a third prize as outstanding example of technology transfer in robot technology and automation to industry.

COBISS.SI-ID: 7953492We have developed an original haptic system that depending on the mechanical configuration offers training of all the aspects of movement of the upper-extremity. International patent application is based on parallel kinematic structure that enables eight different training modalities of functional movement of shoulder, elbow and wrist by means of locking/unlocking various mechanical joints. Innovative kinematical structure also enables use of actuation that incorporates serial elastic elements which has implications on control system governing haptic interaction between man and machine.
F.32 International patent
COBISS.SI-ID: 1003369The patent addresses a device for measurement of a force difference vector during bimanual training. The device consists of a force sensor for measuring interaction forces between limbs, a microcontroller and an inertial measurement unit for measuring device orientation. The device is primarily intended to be used in rehabilitation of hemiparetic patients, where the unaffected limb is used as a manipulator to support the training of the affected limb. The support of the unaffected limb is assessed in real time and enables adaptation of training to the capabilities of the patient.
F.33 Slovenian patent
COBISS.SI-ID: 7867988The primer “Basic Engineering for Medics and Biologists« consists of a series of First Step chapters in engineering and is principally presented for those with a medical or biology. Written by engineers and medics who are leaders in their field, it covers the engineering principles underpinning: biomechanics, bioelectronics, medical informatics, biomaterials, tissue engineering, bioimaging and rehabilitation engineering. The area of rehabilitation engineering is covered by Slovenian researchers. It includes: biomechanics of walking, rehabiliation robotics and functional electrical stimulation.
