On the basis of international cooperation and achievements in the field of magnetic refrigeration International Institute of Refrigeration (IIRIIF) has entrusted us to the co-organize the Fourth International Conference on Magnetic Refrigeration at Room Temperature (Thermag IV), held between 23 and 27 of August, 2010 at Baotou Research Institute of Rare Earths, China. In the Thermag IV Conference doc.dr. Kitanovsk was also the co-editor of the conference proceeding.

COBISS.SI-ID: 11513883Interaction of free convection flow around human body with the respiration flow of breathing and the vertical personalized flow from PV system was simulated using a commercial CFD package. Impact of breathing process on personal exposure effectiveness ?p was evaluated for different operating and environmental conditions. Results show that calculation of personal exposure index is sufficiently accurate to give proper information about the protection of occupant with a PV system also without the breathing simulation included.

The purpose of this research work was definition of theoretical background of the LCSR and the plunge test (i.e., method with external excitation), establishment of whole system for determination of temperature sensor’s dynamic properties by the LCSR method, which includes improvement of existent measurement system and creation of program for determination and analysis of sensor’s mathematical models, and experimental validation of dynamic properties of two chosen sensors.

COBISS.SI-ID: 251162624On-site measurements on cupola furnaces for rock wool production were performed on three different locations of Knauf Insulation Company, i.e. St. Egidien (7.5.2010), Škofja Loka (19.5.2010) and Bad Berka (9.6.2010). Thermographic and pressure measurements of furnace cooling jacket system were performed. Fundamentals of boiling two-phase flow instabilities in cupola with a simplified explanation of mechanism and characteristics were given. Proposal for reconstruction of the cooling system of the cupola furnace in St. Egidien were given.
