Microencapsulation of phase change materials, which are suitable for latent heat energy storage, with melamine-formaldehyde resin was studied. The effects of process parameters on microencapsulation process and microcapsules properties were studied in detail. A suitable microencapsulation method was developed together with methods necessary for process and product characterization.

COBISS.SI-ID: 33636101The present invention refers to analogues of 1,3-bis(4-nitrophenyl)triazenes, their pharmaceutically acceptable salts and N-acyl derivatives for the treatment of different types of tumours. Said compounds show cytotoxicity at very low concentrations (IC50 0,22 to 12,8 µM), and good solubility. These compounds can be used in the treatment of tumour patients as single drugs or in combination with other cytostatics.

COBISS.SI-ID: 252678656The aim of our study, presented at International Symposium on Green Chemistry was to assess environmental risk of ionic liquid 1-butyl-3-methylpyridinium dicyanamide ([bmpyr][dca]) and to compare it to some commonly used solvents. Toxicity testing showed high toxicity of investigated ionic liquid (IL) to all tested organisms and it was also non-biodegradable. In spite of its attractive properties e.g. low volatility, non-flammability, adjustable miscibility, reusability as well as high thermal, chemical and electrochemical stability it can not be considered as environmentally friendly solvent.
