Invited lecture visualization is intended to overview the measurement method for use in various mechanical engineering and nature science examples. Visualization is shown how it is used for examples like flow around bodies, inside machines and equipment and around live beings like meduses and tree canopies, The method is assessed in a horizontal approach, like a bridge between various methods and for analysis and experimental modeling.

COBISS.SI-ID: 11810331Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) is suitable for power production from low temperature waste heat – also in Slovenia. In ORC process the input heat is low temperature and therefore an organic refrigerant should be used instead of water as a working media. Organic refrigerants are e.g. Fluorined-hydrocarbons which evaporates at essential lower thermodynamics parameters (temperature) than water.Basic conditions are appropriate waste heat flow (1 MW) and possibility of heat extraction from ORC process to surroundings.

COBISS.SI-ID: 11518235The invention is new design of vacuum cleaner separator. The vacuum cleaner separator is made from a central rotating part which consists of a basic cylindrical section, which runs on the side to the turbowheel. On the enclosure of the rotating part there are blades. Typical of the separator according to the invention is, that the rotating part is in the axial direction extended by section which is designed as an enclosure with section of a coaxial truncated cone. The blades are interconnected on the side of the turbowheel by a sealing ring.

COBISS.SI-ID: 10925595Use of liquefied wood as an energy source can contribute substantially to the achievement of at least 25-percent share of renewable energy sources in gross final energy consumption in 2020, that Slovenia has comitted with the National Action Plan for Renewable Energy. LTBS Group performed research on combustion and exhaust emissions using innovative test rig with a turbine engine. Liquefied wood and diesel fuel were used as fuels. Liquefied wood has proved a great potential in terms of quality of combustion and exhaust emissions.

COBISS.SI-ID: 11658779The group participated in the implementation of the EU project CIVITAS ELAN actions in 2010. Exhaust emission measurements were performed on conventional bus powered by diesel engine as well as on the compressed natural gas fueled bus under Technologically advanced city buses action. A comparison of health hazard gases emissions: CO, NOx, and total hydrocarbons was carried out as well as CO2 emissions comparison. The results are of great help at choosing the optimal propulsion technology for city buses.
