The focus of this paper is to develop a reliable method to predict flank wear during end-milling process. A neural-fuzzy scheme is applied to perform the prediction of flank wear from cutting force signals. In this contribution we also discussed the construction of a ANFIS system that seeks to provide a linguistic model for the estimation of tool wear from the knowledge embedded in the neural network. The estimation error is up to 3% by using neural network trained with backpropagation algorithm.

A novel system for out-of-date robotic systems that are not interesting for use any more is introduced. We give a solution for revitalization of these robotic systems with upgrading the programming software from on-line programming to indirect virtual programming and virtual modelling of a production cell equipped with robots. Direct and inverse kinematic models of the robot ACMA XR 701 in the virtual space were developed with reverse engineering technologies.

The control of pressure by means of variable displacement pumps is one of the most important tasks in the field of pump control, which is influenced by the properties of the pumps. Looking for a suitable control concept which offers good static behaviour a method is tested which tunes the parameters of a controller. Instancing a variable displacement axial piston pump controlled by a 3/2 proportional valve the improvement will be achieved by fuzzy logic on the one hand and a non linear approach - adaptation of gain of the classical controller - on the other

The multi-criteria (MC) method is applied to the development of a large-scale product in the case of mid-price range washing machines using MC approach. The development of a large-scale product on the basis of MC analysis provides more accurate forecasting of the most important parameters in the centrefold of a multidimensional character in the way of customer demands, and important production and development restrictions areset in this environment. A forecasting method of production demands is powerful tool for achieving strategically and concurrent advantage.
