This reference book describes the field of materials (metals, ceramics’, and polymers’), technological processes (forming, cutting, welding, join, unconventional procedures, thermal treating, production technology, manipulation, assembly and production management). It is a useful literature for engineers in the industry as well as for students
F.04 Increase of the technological level
COBISS.SI-ID: 14038038In the paper the research and development work on the field of LENS technology is presented. LENS is one of the most promising additive manufacturing technologies and has a great potential of use, e.g., for direct rapid manufacturing of product, repairing of damaged products, metal coating etc. In the paper the manufacturing of sample product is also carried out. The next research will be concentrated on the optimization of machining parameters for achieving better building accuracy, studying microstructure of the obtained products, and testing their mechanical properties.
F.13 Development of new production methods and tools or processes
COBISS.SI-ID: 14187542The information about robot mobility is missing. To represent the behavior of the robot in the workspace, velocity anisotropy of the robot is introduced and defined as the normalized length of the shortest velocity ellipsoid axes which can be constructed in the tool centre point (TCP) for any position of robot. A graphical discrete representation of the 3D workspace with included velocity anisotropy is then performed. The advantages of the developed graphical representation are presented on a workspace example for a commercial industrial robot.
F.14 Improvements to existing production methods and tools or processes
COBISS.SI-ID: 14635798CM unit for on-line condition monitoring of mineral hydraulic oil in companies REVOZ and IMPOL. An on-line CM unit was implemented in the leading Slovenian companies to monitor the most important physical and chemical properties of mineral oils - viscosity, dielectric constant, conductivity, relative humidity in oil ... which constantly provides information on oil condition and its change.
F.09 Development of a new technological process or technology
COBISS.SI-ID: 14518294In the article a procedure how to capture the real geometry of the forming tool is shown. Corrections of the geometry must be carried out at the final test of the forming tool. Geometrical data of active elements of the forming tool cannot be determined exactly because of the difficulties at measuring of quantities. Afterwards the geometry is different from the previous designed. The article explains how to obtain the real geometry of the active parts of the forming tool. The newest methods of reverse engineering are used. The method has been successfully applied in the praxis.
