The textbook presents the particularities of construction business which arise out of the legislation for construction sphere of activity, the common construction practice and the organizational particularities of companies. The book discusses the construction sphere of activity, the enterprises and the participants; the construction process; the construction projects; the design process of construction objects; the preliminary works for the construction; the construction; the supervision over the construction; the technical revision and the handover of the construction object to the investor.

COBISS.SI-ID: 62792705The invited paper presents the Mixed-Integer Non-Linear Programming (MINLP) approach to structural optimization. The MINLP optimization is performed through three steps: i.e. the generation of a mechanical superstructure, the modelling of an MINLP model formulation and the solution of the defined MINLP problem. The accompanied Linked Multilevel Hierarchical Strategy (LMHS) is developed to accelerate the convergence of the mentioned algorithm. Two examples are presented at the end of the paper.

COBISS.SI-ID: 13540118The Ph.D. thesis presents optimization of single storey steel buildings. The structural optimization is performed by the Mixed-Integer Non-linear Programming approach, MINLP. The main thesis of this work is that it is possible with the MINLP approach, with the generation of a steel building superstructure, with the definition of a special MINLP model formulation and with the development of an appropriate strategy for the solution of the problem efficiently perform the simultaneous topology, material and standard cross-section optimization of large-scale single storey steel building structures.
