For decoloration and degradation of textile wastewater many applicable methods have been developed, but because of the composition complexity of the textile wastewater the use of universal procedures seems to be impossible. So, there is a need to find an efficient and cost-effective wastewater treatment for the decoloration of textile wastewaters. In this chapter a survey of the most widely used and, according to many researches, the most promising textile wastewater decoloration methods are presented.

This invention concerns an ecologically friendly process of indigo (C.I. Vat Blue 1) dyeing of cellulose and polyamide-containing textile materials with possibility of reusing (three or more times) the enzyme reduction dyeing bath. Procedure of dyeing textile materials with enzymatically-reduced indigo comprising the step of subjecting the samples to the indigo dyebath containing reductases in the presence of a redox mediator, oxidation on air or oxidases enzyme or oxidizing agent (i.e. hydrogen peroxide) after diffusion leuko indigo into material and finally soaping and washing.

COBISS.SI-ID: 13233174During the current investigation, we used developed printing fluids (reactive inks), a silk fabric, textile digital printer, appropriate CAD/CAM software, colour management system, RIP, and colourmetric measurement equipment. The characteristics were evaluated for cured prints, such as colour properties, fixation degree, and colour fastness. The results of the present research project show that it is possible to achieve quality prints on silk fabric using newly-developed reactive inks, and DOD piezo printing technology.

The original method for modification of surface properties of products that come in contact with blood has been protected with this patent. Extensive research on modification of said products with gaseous plasma revealed optimized surface properties since the modified surface prevents adsorption of specific blood proteins.
