Number of grid tight photovoltaic power plants is increasing. They normally operate connected to the low surge impedance distribution network without any problems. However, when they are connected to the high surge impedance distribution network they could cause problems. The converter and photovoltaic power plant control algorithms introduce subharmonic components in the currents causing also subharmonic components in line voltages. The impact of photovoltaic power plants on distribution network is evaluated in the time and in the frequency domain.

COBISS.SI-ID: 14720278Fast growing costs of high reliably power systems, which would include all possible critical conditions and findings about deficiency of deterministic designing methods and systems analysis, launched the search of finding new methods, which would include concepts of uncertainty and probability. This work deals with the practical use of the probability software tool on the case of inclusion new gas aggregates to the power system of Slovenia.

COBISS.SI-ID: 14576918A methodology for investigation of primary system control operation in Slovenian electric power system (EPS) is developed and evaluated in this work. This methodology consists of two parts: 1) analysis of turbine controllers and acquirement of important parameter data, and 2) measurements of active powers on individual aggregates and transmission lines, located on borders of the Slovenian EPS during frequency sags. Various criteria and a simple quasi-static model were suggested for estimation of aggregate and EPS response. Moreover, a special computer tool was prepared for this purpose.
