Real-world situations of vehicles crashing into safety barriers have shown that only seldom a vehicle strikes a barrier under the prescribed conditions recommended by EN 1317 for testing the conformity of safety barriers and that the containment level of vehicles depends largely on the shape, sheetmetal thickness and the height of the barrier post. The jamming of a vehicle wheel behind the barrier post is caused by insufficient durability of the beam design that fails to perform its main task (to guide the wheel along the post). In order to prevent wheel jamming, the beam needs to be strong and wide.
F.17 Transfer of existing technologies, know-how, methods and procedures into practice
COBISS.SI-ID: 11087387The paper presents methods of the acquisition of biomechanical data which is applied in the analysis of traffic accidents. Presented are the methods of human body modelling and software implementations. The paper also provides a detailed description of the medical imaging method and geometrical reconstruction which was applied and improved within the scope of research activities of the research group. Achievable accuracy of the mass property evaluation is of the order 1%. It enables individualised acquisition of mechanical data.

COBISS.SI-ID: 11087131The paper presents the software solution "BUSO" for viewing and management of data about scheduled public transport. The software application provides search tools and display of entities on maps and orthophoto. The user can enter, edit and catalogue station points, lay out line segments over the existing digital road infrastructure, enter road segments missing from the road network together with their projected and calculated or measured lengths, enter, edit and organize individual bus lines, and display information about the selected entities (station points, line segments, itineraries, roads, settlements, communities). The user can use the software to enter station point properties on the field and to plan and lay out itineraries, join them into lines, regions and prepare the data for export in different forms. A special module enables field acquisition of road axes by using a GPS receiver. The software can be connected to existing information systems for management of public transport data. Due to its openness and modular structure the software can be adapted to user needs and connected to other traffic information systems.

COBISS.SI-ID: 11916571The book provides a detailed overview of theoretical basics and established practices in the production of technical documentation in accordance with the latest ISO standards and with emphasis on technical drawing in mechanical engineering. The book first presents the basis of production, handling and manipulation of technical documentation (basic drawing rules, tools, drawing media, types and forms of drawings, reproduction and storage etc.). The following chapters discuss drawing rules and special features (simplifications) of drawing and dimensioning. Also presented are different methods of prescribing requirements on dimensional and geometrical accuracy of objects (deviations, tolerances, ISO fits and tolerances, geometrical tolerances) in regard to surface characteristics (roughness) and object edges. Also included is a systematic overview of special features of presenting typical (standard) machine forms, elements, assemblies and structures as well as creating schematic drawings of devices, installations and processes. Basic rules on the labelling of typical technical materials, thermal treatments and metal coatings are provided. The book also includes an overview of the SIST ISO standards applicable in the field of technical documentation.

COBISS.SI-ID: 259015680The project includes production of technical documentation for the purpose of a tender for the manufacture of crash cushions, which help protect vehicles and vehicle occupants in the events of impacts with tunnel walls of SOS niches. The technical documentation is produced based on the results of the research project No. 2403001444/S entitled »Comparative traffic safety study of the tunnel niche wall protection by means of steel safety barrier (SSB) or crash cushion« and includes an assembly drawing of the crash cushion as well as a description of all compund elements of the crash cushion. The documentation relates to the attachment of the crash cushion to the tunnel niche wall as well as to an additional beam.
