The technology for well defined buried cavities with a very high width -to-depth ratio (18 mm / 35 microns) and with a thin ceramic membrane on the top presents an extraordinary technological achievement making possible the fabrication of complex ceramic micro-systems.

COBISS.SI-ID: 24833319In cooperation with the factory ETI d.d. Izlake, we studied materials based on steatite, which are used for the manufacture of various electrical components. The aim of the research was to improve mechanical and thermal properties of the steatite. Improved properties were achieved by replacing selected raw materials, the optimization of the amount of the additives, and optimised milling and heating. The modified procedure for the preparation of the steatite has been successfully used for the manufacture of complex electrical products, such as housing for fuses.
