The invited lecture first reviewed some basic properties of aluminum foams and discuss their advantages and shortcomings. Then, their application possibilities were be briefly discussed. Next part of the lecture was dedicated to discuss the results of conducted experimental testing of aluminum foam samples with particular attention to their behaviour under impact loading. The lecture then focused on our methodology for proper 3D geometrical modelling of irregular aluminum foam structure and consequent formation of lattice finite element model, used in computational simulations.

COBISS.SI-ID: 15605270The subject of invention is an apparatus and a method for discharging excavator digging scoop. It resolves technical problem of emptying excavator digging scoop, which is done with emptying or cleaning the inner part of the scoop automatically during the digging process. The invention envisages transfer of mechanical power from a construction machine on the device for emptying the scoop and ensures continuous operation of the excavator where the process of emptying digging scoop is synchronized with the operation of the excavator. The final result is an increase in productivity of the excavator, thus saving considerable time and energy.
