The contents of the visiting lectures at University of Mostar, BiH (Intelligent CAD systems) and at Technical University of Brno, Czech Republic Knowledge based engineering) is related to artificial intelligence application for decision support in product development process. As such, these lectures are strongly related to the research work of our programme.

COBISS.SI-ID: 13201686The presented thesis deals with numerical simulation of micro-crack initiation that is based on Tanaka-Mura model. Three improvements were added to this model. Firstly, multiple slip bands where micro-cracks may occur are used in each grain. Second improvement deals with micro-crack coalescence by extending existing micro-cracks along grain boundaries and connecting them into a macro-crack. The third improvement handles segmented micro-crack generation.
D.09 Tutoring for postgraduate students
COBISS.SI-ID: 247801856In collaboration with firm Talum load analysis of punching tools for aluminium slugs production was conducted. Increased speed of punching caused production faults due to inadequate design of punching tool. Existing tool was analyzed using nonlinear dynamic analyses, resulting in accurate loading condition, which were then applied to several modified analysis models of punching tool. Based on analysis results the optimal model was selected for the design of new punching tool for production of aluminium slugs.

COBISS.SI-ID: 17294600The main aim of the study was to analyze the existing traffic safety situation in the Slovenian highway network with the existing definition of criteria for highway ''dangerous'' segments and the determination of dangerous sections of the Slovenian highway network. The second purpose of this project is to determine whether there is a connection between the dangerous highway sections and the infrastructure facilities at the highway network.
