We developed a microsimulation use behaviour model of Digital TV (DTV) interactive services applied to a real Italian case in order to better understand the impact on citizens, their behaviours during the early adoption phase and the main conditions for an optimal use. The final goal is to predict implications of possible strategic measures, hence to foresee the effects of business actions carried out by private providers in a given operational context. The present study is carried out utilising a multidisciplinary approach, using well known Bass diffusion and UTAUT adoption model.

The chapter analyses the use of broadband in EU countries. With the use of factor analysis the underlying factors were identified as the main reasons for the differences between countries: enablers and means, the use of services, and the ICT sector’s development. Cluster analysis was used to identify similar countries. Based on these findings, a two-dimensional framework that enables the classification of policy actions depending on the influencing factor and type of influence was developed. Finally, a novel conceptualization of the field of broadband and e-commerce/e-government is proposed.

The paper presents a flexible method for business processes management software selection, which can be applied in different companies and for various project types because the selection criteria are connected to project goals and critical success factors. The method is based on Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. The applicability of proposed method is demonstrated with two case studies that are also used to analyse and discuss it.

The chapter deals with a complex decision-making problem, the selection and evaluation of learning management systems in which several objectives referring to the definite group of users, technical, environmental, and economic impacts, must be simultaneously taken into account. We introduce Evaluation Cycle Management (ECM), a new support methodology aimed at the evaluation of options that occur in the decision-making processes. ECM is based on the theoretical and practical expertise related to multi-attribute decision making (criteria evaluation) and usability testing (usability evaluation).
