The conference presents an important professional event for the field of industrial control in Slovenia, which is organized biannually. It involves around 150 experts from economy, research and education departments, covers main local (and representative) companies involved with automation in Slovenia, and it is supported by local and regional media. Research and application results are presented and published in conference proceedings.
B.01 Organiser of a scientific meeting
COBISS.SI-ID: 63054593In February and March 2009 web based education from mechatronics, designed in the framework of European life-long learning program Leonardo da Vinci, was executed. Education introduced completely new method for the vocational training of adults. Training was organized by using web learning portal and offered acquisition of theoretical knowledge and practical skills by executing remote experiments. 70 trainees from all Slovenia took part in the pilot training. Very positive feedback confirmed suitability of developed approach.
F.01 Acquisition of new practical knowledge, information and skills
COBISS.SI-ID: 13305366The aim of this book chapter was to present research work for developing a predictive display for telerobotic application using a remote-robotic arm.The focus of the research was an interconnection between the real-world robotic arm with the robotic environment, a visual virtual robotic arm with the corresponding robotic arm’s environment, a virtual collision detection world and a haptic device.
F.11 Development of a new service
COBISS.SI-ID: 13501206Rapid development of information technology has an influence on engineering education as well as on instrumentation and measurement. Conventional classes are supplemented by e-learning, simulations and remote laboratories, whilst virtual instrumentation has become widely used in measurement. To follow this progress measurements course was enhanced with virtual instrumentation and LabVIEW hands-on course.
F.04 Increase of the technological level
COBISS.SI-ID: 13529878Slovene national competitions RoboT and ROBObum are based on the network of Slovene professional secondary schools (SS). They are a basis for spreading new tehnologies on all levels of Slovene educational system. Majority of school centres are involved into competition. We have participated for the first time on the worldwide robot competition RoboCup 2009. We have seen that we are comparable with the world in the class Rescue for categories PS and SS. In addition, we contributed to better conditions of implementation for elective subjects Robotika v tehniki and Elektrotehnika in PS.
