An advanced diagnostic system for final quality assessment of electronically commutated motors in company Domel has been developed. The system allows the following: measurement of the basic electrical parameters of the free-running motor, bearing-fault detection, detection of rotor unbalance, and detection of other deviations, revealed during the free run-out of the motor

COBISS.SI-ID: 23153191Members of team received the Zois Award for their research on modelling, simulation and control of biological wastewater treatment plants. Specially important achievement is the collaboration in the design of a wastewater treatment benchmark, which is acknowledged internationally and has been used by more than 100 users worldwide. On a real plant, they tested new feedforward and predictive algorithms for the control of nitrogen removal processes, where they proved a significant reduction of electrical energy consumption, which results in a decrease of plant operating costs.

COBISS.SI-ID: 20679463Members of the team has been active in implementation of modern PEM fuel-cell technology as an alternative energy source in Slovenia. In cooperation with Domel d.d. and Inea d.o.o. a demonstration prototype of cogeneration unit with fuel-cell technology has been developed. The system is intended to ensure efficient energy supply for military units in remote locations in Slovenia and for slovenian military missions abroad. The achievement has been specially acknowledged by the Slovenian Army.

COBISS.SI-ID: 22438695Members of the team are the recipients of the 2009 ISA Transactions Best Paper Award. The paper entitled "A model-based approach to the evaluation of flame-protective garments" presents a novel approach to model-based estimation of burn injury applied to the evaluation of flame-protective garments. The award was determined by a five-member review committee from 45 papers.

COBISS.SI-ID: 21657127Our research group is one of the leading research groups in the field of embedded systems and industrial informatics. For this reason we were invited to participate in the Interreg IV international project I3E. The aim of this project is to boost innovation in the field of industrial informatics and embedded systems in the SEE region. In the framework of the project we collaborate on generation of the Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) for the fields of industrial informatics and embedded systems in SEE region. In the year 2009 the project was succesfully presented to domestic technical public.
