EU project INTAFAR, in which the programme team participated in the period 2005-2010 was successfully finished in 2010. The aim of the project was better understanding of the physiology and biochemistry of bacterial cell morphogenesis and peptidoglycan biosynthesis. On this basis, new potential antibacterial compounds were designed and synthesised. Total project budget: 11.4 million Euro.

COBISS.SI-ID: 2165873In 2010 the programme team started with a 4-year FP7 EU colaborative project Exploring Marine Resources for Bioactive Compounds: From Discovery to Sustainable Production and Industrial Applications (MAREX) in which the programme leader acts as coordinator at partner institution UL - Faculty of Pharmacy. Further 18 partners from 11 EU and other countries will colaborate in a project . Total project budget: 6.0 million Euro.
