COBISS.SI-ID: 1663699With the aim to stimulate cultivation of a fig we executed a characterization of genetic resources of this Mediterranean agricultural plant. Such a step is essential for the identification of genotypes which have a value for the market. Project partners developed standardized systems of molecular analyses of genetic resources which will ensure comparable results between various laboratories. Genotypization and DNA profiling of cultivated and wild figs of the Adriatic coast, together with the data basis, will enable inclusion of various Adriatic fig sorts into a daily agricultural practice.
