Nejc Košnik s doctoral thesis is considers radiative and rare decays of heavy mesons. Main concern of this work is to determine bounds on physics behind standard model in nonleptonic decays of b mesons into K and two pi mesons, as well as in decays of D into light mesons and lepton pairs.

Abstract: Nonzero neutrino masses points towards R-parity violation in MSSM. This then inevitably leads to the gravitino as the only dark matter candidate. We will show which constraints on the MSSM parameters are needed in order to describe the recent Pamela and Fermi/LAT enhancements through the decay of a heavy gravitino.

COBISS.SI-ID: 24365607The measured forward-backward asymmetry in the t tbar production at the Tevatron might be explained by the additional exchange of a colored weak singlet scalar. Such state appears in some of the grand unified theories and its interactions. We systematically investigate the resulting impact on low energy phenomenology. The constraints on the relevant Yukawa couplings come from the experimentally measured observables.
