The Carnian carbonate succession in the Mežica area called “Raibl Beds” (Karavanke Mts, Slovenia) includes three clastic horizons of marly–shaly rocks. Only one single sample yielded well preserved Carnian (Julian) conodonts. The monospecific conodont fauna is marked by elements of Nicoraella ? budaensis that enables us to reconstruct a multielemental apparatus. The recovered conodont fauna verifies the Julian age of the second clastic horizon in the Mežica area and it provides new significant information for definition of the Carnian Pluvial Event in the Karavanke Mts.

We prepared iso-frequency and iso-amplitude maps which show a clear differences between the part of Ljubljana built on soft lacustrine sediments and the part built on gravel. By additional measurements in characteristic, mostly public buildings, we determine their main resonance frequencies. We developed a new method which gives better results than established methods. By comparison of measurements inside buildings with a free-field map of sediment fundamental frequencies we identified buildings for which a danger of soil-structure resonance exist.

Microfacies analysis of the Norian »Bača Dolomite« from the Mt Slatnik section (SE Julian Alps) reveals sedimentation on the upper and outer apron and the basin plain. Two distalization-progradation cycles are reflected in the distribution of microfacies types.

Two chapters in a monograph of the broad international working group that encompasses comparisons and correlations of Late Paleozoic tectonostratigraphic units in the Circum Pannonian region. Peleoenvironments of rock formation are reconstructed and later tectonic displacements that led to their recent positions.

The Jesenice meteorite fall was the first instrumentally observed meteorite fall with recovered meteorites in Slovenia and the 13th meteorite fall in the world for which data quality is sufficient for detailed analysis. Based on instrumental datal and locations of three recovered meteorites, atmospheric dynamcis of the meteoroid were determined, its preatmospheric mass, the location, shape and meteoroid mass distribution in the meteorite strewnfield and the meteoroid heliocentric orbit.
