To remain competitive the industry must design and validate new products and production processes already in virtual environment. The paper presents digital validation of two innovative technologies of cold and warm forming. IF at room temperature of various shapes made from DC05 sheet metal and warm forming of the billet upsetting of magnesium alloy AZ80 are presented case studies. The paper will discuss those cases in order to confirm the quality of obtained results from digital environment and their usability in industrial practice.

COBISS.SI-ID: 11112475Majority of the sheet metal forming processes demand use of lubricants with oils involving additives, which are hazardous for several reasons. Therefore, the paper is focused towards the analysis of different manners of lubrication (dry contact, liquid lubricant and hard coatings) and their effects on tool temperature during single point incremental sheet metal forming, which is nowadays very attractive and manly used for small and medium batch production.
