Industrial project for development of a new product, based on the existing analog concept of acquisition system at ion microbeam station, using FPGA technology of collaborating company. The product will strongly increase acquisition rate from nuclear detectors at the microbeam station. In the same time , it will be applicable for a broad range of photon and particle detectors. We motivated industrial partner to start the collaborative work on the subject. The product is in the state of working prototype, in finalisation for market launch.

The only known setup of this kind enabled the participation of the group in the 7. FP EU project SPIRIT, Contr. No. 227012 (www.spirit-ion.eu). Within the project, P. Pelicon is leading the Key Task 14 "3D Analysis" within the Work Package "JRA-Extending into New Fields". Project officially started on March 1, 2009.
