The exhibition presented in the lobby of Cankarjev dom in Ljubljana featured the oldest preserved ceramic figurine depicting a human body discovered on the territory of Slovenia. The exhibition which was opened under the patronage of the spouse of the president of the republic was visited by more than 20.000 visitors, among them the spouse of the general secretary of the UN. Later the exhibition was transferred to the Regional museum in Murska Sobota and the copy of the figurine was included among other protocol gifts into the protocol of the Republic of Slovenia.

COBISS.SI-ID: 250449152Alenka Tomaž finished her doctoral studies with a dissertation in which the analises of pottery from the site of Čatež – Sredno polje was presented. She compared the finds with other sites on the territory of eastern and central Slovenia. In her work she included several novelties in the analyses (an analysis of forms, analyses of attributes, analises of decorations, statistical evaluation of the fragmentation) which present innovations in this scientific field.
