Until recently, the concepts of love and sexuality were regarded as marginal scientific discussions. The shift has occurred in the 20 th an 21th century when they became the subject of analysis within various scientific disciplines. Should we talk about crisis of love and sexuality? Should we talk about love and sexuality as a place of subversion?

COBISS.SI-ID: 253321728Through the analysis of two plays: Shakespeare: Romeo and Juliet and Williams: Orpehus Descending we defines the empty space between two people as “positive nihilism” (Luce Irigary) that marks the incompatibility between the other and the self and that calls the subject to renounce living as one and united entity and to show respect for two people in the inter-subject relationship. We have concluded that in its essence, the love that didn’t finally succumb to the “oedipalisation", tends to decode stable social norms.
