Prof. ddr. Igor Grdina initiated the International Scientific Conference that was organized by the Scientific Research Centre of the SASA and the SASA. The aim of the conference was to rethink basic existential questions of nations and linguistic communities in the past, present and future. Along with historical dimensions it introduced the time of Truber by addressing the questions that are timeless and unlimited by space. 24 scientists responded to the invitation; they came from Slovenia, Austria, Czech Republic, Italy, Israel, Hungary, Russia, Slovakia and Switzerland.

COBISS.SI-ID: 28196653The publishing house Peter Lang from Frankfurt published a synthetic overview of history of Slovenian nation in English. The Land Between: A History of Slovenia includes 9 authors, edited by prof. dr. Oto Luthar. It contains 560 pages. The monograph presents the Slovenian history in a new, contemporary fashion; on an equal footing it shows the hitherto neglected historical periods and fills a major gap in the field of a synthetic Slovenian historiography in a world-language. It is likewise significant from the point of view of Slovenian international promotion as well as its history.
