The article presents the scales for outcome assessment in people after lower limb amputation, and the problems associated with using those scales. Next, possibilities for solving these problems using the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health are outlined. The importance of developing core sets is shown and the methodology of developing core sets is explained.
