Processing of piezoelectric layer by electroforetic deposition was applied for fabrication of high frequency transducers. The thickness-coupling coefficient of 48 %, obtained in the films, confirmed that the EPD process was suitable for fabrication of efficient high-frequency transducers for high-resolution medical imaging.

COBISS.SI-ID: 23645735We have prepared stable PZT water suspensions at controlled milling conditions (optimal solid load, the amount of surfactants and additives for lowering the surface tension). The suspensions were used for high resolution patterning thick-film structures by ink-jet printing.

COBISS.SI-ID: 23972135Powder synthesised by mechanochemical route is nanometer sized and chemically homogeneously compare to solid state synthesised powders. Due to this the sintering temperature and chemical interaction between piezoelectric layer and substrate are lower. Therefore the powder is suitable also for processing on reactive substrate.
