Fossils are an important tool for determining the age and origin of rocks. A cyamodontid placodont is a significant tracer in Triassic rocks that are extended also in the area of the Boč massif. Previous investigations indicated that the discussed massif should be the Karavanke lengthening. The evidencing of this hypothesis is closely connected with fossils that will be analyzed in rock samples and compared with their distribution in other areas.

The knowledge of groundwater dynamics in the area of the Boč massif represents a base for understanding the genesis and preservation of mineral water in the Rogaška Slatina area. The paper presents new findings on recharge and storage properties of Rogaška mineral waters, which is closely connected with structural and geological composition of the study area.
