The northern contact of the carbonate Boč massif with the Miocene clastic rocks is not overthrusted like it is illustrated at the Basic geological map. Carbonate rock are striking at N-NW direction. Their inclination is about 75°. These characteristics significantly influence on groundwater dynamics, particularly the recharge process.
F.02 Acquisition of new scientific knowledge
COBISS.SI-ID: 1796181The new database of water resources of Droga Kolinska dd., PE Rogaški vrelci was made. It includes information on boreholes, aquifers and data of quality and quantity state of waters. Important figures are added: borehole profiles, geological profiles, local geological and hydrogeological situations, and photos. The base could be connected with measurements that are performed in the framework of quality and quantity monitoring in accordance with the environmental and water laws.
F.15 Development of a new information system/databases
COBISS.SI-ID: 1626197On the basis of geological researches the 3D geological model was made by the programme tool RockWorks15. Further, the hydraulic model was constructed by the MIKE SHE (DHI Water & Environment) programme tool, which provides to simulate flow and solute transport in the aquifer system, particularly in dependence on discharge, to predict the aquifer system behavior during further exploitation, to determine new locations for exploitation of mineral and spring waters and to asses the optimal balance between environmental protection and economic use of Rogaška groundwaters.
F.23 Development of new system-wide, normative and programme solutions, and methods
COBISS.SI-ID: 1679189The results of geological, hydrogeological, geochemical and microbiological researches in the catchment area of groundwater resources exploit by Droga Kolinska d.d. contributed to the methodology of the quality and quantity control of production wells. On their basis the management of Rogaška mineral waters- which are characterised as a natural heritage - was improved.
F.17 Transfer of existing technologies, know-how, methods and procedures into practice
COBISS.SI-ID: 1758293Spring and mineral waters were sampled in the study area for needs of chemical and microbiological investigations. Analyzed waters reflect anthropogenic and geogenic impacts of the environment. It should be stressed that mineral waters are mostly protected against surface impacts, hence their composition depend only on geogenic factors.
F.30 Professional assessment of the situation
