The role of the langugage/education policy in relation to the economic processes in multilingual society is stressed . The adequate language/education policy contributes to the economic benefit to individual and society. Cooperation, exchange, mobility of people and ideas are the key factors in promoting knowledge, achievements, common creative inspiration and cooperation in the process of forming a common European area of harmonious coexistence.

COBISS.SI-ID: 512547456Today multilingualism as policy and as value is the key to successfull cooperation and coexistence, and it is very much connected with the labour market. The knowledge of language can be analyzed as the value of linguistic diversity, as the value of intergroup communication and as the value of language vitality. Different socio-economic factors as well as integrational processes influence the meaning and value of the knowledge of language and multilingualism. Under such condition the knowledge of minority languages has added value.
