American geographer Edwin H.Hammond classified the landforms of the United States in great detail. Due to weaknesses, the original method was adapted: the form and size of thebasic window and the boundaries between classification element classes were changed. 19 relief units were determined.

According to Hammond'sadapted method the group of plains occupies 18% of Slovenia, the group of tablelands less than 1%, thegroupof plains with elevations 1%, the group of elevations with plains 64%, and the group of elevations 17%.
