Treatise on the history and the significance of the Ljubljana Seminary - Collegium Carolinum, an institute for the formation and education of the aristocratic youth, whose main Maecenas was Janez Anton Dolničar von Thalberg, and on the emblematic value of Dolničar's sketches of medals intended to mark the opening of the new building housing the first public library in Ljubljana.

The article deals with the paintings included in the Virgin's altar in the parish church of Laško, which, after the recent restoration, can covincingly be attributed to Hans Georg Geiger von Geigerfeldt. Thus the oeuvre of one of the most important Carniolian painters of the 17th century has expanded to Styria, where he was not known untill now. The commission of the Laško altar can be connected with the patronage of the Moscon family, for whom the painter worked also in Lower Carniola.
