The study tested the hypothesis that mental ell-being can be successfully predicted on the basis of self-discrepancies being calculated in the agentic and communal personality traits. Regression and multivariate analyses of collected data demonstrated that the above mentioned discrepancies indeed significantly explained the variance in mental well-being.

The article analyses psychometric issues of the Slovenian version of the Questionnaire about interpersonal difficulties for adolescent. It focuses mainly on the reliability and validity of the instrument. The final form of the Slovene version is very useful. Its construction means a remarkable progress in the further perspective of the psychological assessment of mental and interpersonal well-being in adolescents.

The study investigated the relationship between the general factor of personality (GFP) and the dimensions of coping. The results of the study confirmed the substantial positive correlation of GFP with the problem focused coping and its components and the negative correlation with the emotion focused coping and its components. The results also showed close connections between GFP and well-being.
