The computer program named Stabilometry V 1.0. has been designed for analysis of signals derived from force plate. This program enables us to calculate the variability of the centre of pressure position, its paths in given time interval. Its significant contribution to science is new paradigm of sway outline and area calculations by means of Fourier coefficients. This calculation gives more precise value of sway area and is compared to usually used PCA method more sensitive to unexpected excursions.

COBISS.SI-ID: 3604331In the University week, first week of December 2008, we officially opened the laboratory for biomechanical research as a part of former College of Health Studies, now Faculty of Health Sciences. At the same time we organised scientific meeting of researchers in the field of medical biomechanics from Slovenia and abroad.
D.02 Establishment of a research centre, laboratory, study course, association
COBISS.SI-ID: 242648576Research institute of the Faculty of Health Sciences organized the Research day where results of all the current projects on motor control were presented and published. Researchers that participate in this project presented three topics. Besides above mentioned also the work of Vauhnik and Rugelj, Muscle activity of the knee flexors and extensors during Lachman's test with Rolimeter.

COBISS.SI-ID: 248523264In the TV show “Sadovi znanja” all of the projects of the Faculty of health sciences were were presented. I participated in the show as a vice dean for research and I presented the applicative and basic research which are granted by the ARRS
D.08 Management and development of research activities
COBISS.SI-ID: 3675243The article presents the results of a randomised controlled study of balance specific training in frail elderly subjects. After three months of functional oriented training subjects in training group showed a significant increase of balance function. The training programme was designed on the basis of recent findings in the present study. This results are an example of translation of basic motor control research into therapeutic situation and use of basic knowledge in design of therapeutic methods.
