The selection of a ground motion record is not a trivial problem since quite a different seismic response can be observed if a structure is subjected to different sets of ground motion records, especially if the number of ground motion records within the set of records is low as is usually prescribed in the design codes. In this paper the progressive IDA analysis, which involves precedence list of ground motion records, and can also be used to minimize the bias in the seismic response by selecting only a limited number of ground motion records, is applied to a four-storey RC structure.

COBISS.SI-ID: 4367713OS Modeler is a set of Matlab functions, which are used to create a structural model, to perform the nonlinear seismic analysis by employing program OpenSees and for post-processing of analysis results. The OS Modeler follows the Eurocode 8 requirements for non-linear modeling and non-linear seismic analysis of buildings. Different assumptions are therefore used in order to build as simple as possible and yet still reliable structural model, which can be then employed for design or assessment purpose.
