Organization of interdisciplinary international conference "Time and Matter 2007" held at Bled, from August 26th-31st, 2007 and "Time and Matter 2010" at Budva, Montenegro, 4.-8. October 2010. The scope of the conference included problems of time and space on various scales in nature, from elementary particle physics to cosmological proportions. The 2007 conference co-funded by ARRS, contract no. 1000-07-453247.
B.01 Organiser of a scientific meeting
COBISS.SI-ID: 237509376I presented the proposed upgrade of the Belle2 detector and the SuperKEKB accelerator, and the relevant physics processes we will be able to discover with 30 times higher luminosity.
B.04 Guest lecture
COBISS.SI-ID: 915195In Japanese center for particle physics research KEK the upgrade of the KEKB factory and the Belle experiment have started. The aim of the upgrade is to perform precision experiments in the decays of B mesons, which will allow us to probe the physics beyond SM. I presented the experimental endeavour in the R&D of the new SVD for the upgraded B factory.
B.03 Paper at an international scientific conference
COBISS.SI-ID: 1459707The report is theoretical, experimental and instrumentational foundation for the proposed Belle2 experiment. It contains detailed descriptions of the detector components, including that of the silicon vertex detector.
F.09 Development of a new technological process or technology
COBISS.SI-ID: 24375847The existence of ultra-high energy cosmic rays, or UHECR, is one of the most intriguing experimental observations of contemporary physics. We know they exist, but we can as yet neither identify their sources nor determine their identities. Since they are very scarce their detection represents a huge experimental challenge. To meet it, a vast observatory was built in Argentina. Slovenian scientists have been taking part in the design, construction and use of the observatory since the initial project was first proposed.
F.30 Professional assessment of the situation
