With preliminary measurements of the concentration and size distribution of nano aerosols we extended our research from radioactive to non-radioactive aerosols. Not a lot of attention was paid in the past to this study area in Slovenia, thus it offers great research possibilities and challenges. We expect to be able to explain the bond between radon decay products and nano aerosols, to which they attach, and to quantify the dependence of size distribution on the meteorological parameters, as well as on living patterns and working regime in leaving and working environments, respectively.

COBISS.SI-ID: 21776935On the basis of soil gas radon measurements on 123 measuring points in the entire Slovenia the map of radon potential was drawn and on this conference it was presented on the first time. The map indicates radon risk areas, where the radon safe construction measures are required to protect buildings from increased indoor radon concentrations.
