Discussed are new findings on the quantity and quality of Giovanni Antonio Rigatti’s compositions preserved in Koper that were identified by means of comparison and approximately dated on the basis of the analysis of different scribes’ handwritings. A selection from the 11 unica was analysed. New findings are important for the evaluation of national heritage and at the same time provide materials for the world-wide research on this important Venetian composer of the mid-17th century. Through this text the Slovenian musicology actively entered international circles of related specific studies.
