Marjetka Golež Kaučič is a Vicepresident of KfV from 2003 and member of the Executive board SIEF from 2004. At the opening buisness meeting of the KfV she presented the scientific aspects of Slovenian folklore studies (ballads) and the structure of the Institute of Ethnomusicology SRC SASA. The ballad tradition is now very well known to the members of that commmission. As a member of SIEF and main representative for so called Eastern and Central Europe she contribute to the structure and activities of the organization.

COBISS.SI-ID: 247330304CD present folk song heritage of the Uskoks, which were settled in White Carniola already in the sixteenth century. Over the centuries, these newcomers were assimilated into the Slovenian environment, but they also made their own distinctive mark on it with their culture and song heritage. The singers of White Carniola adopted part of this heritage into their song repertoires and have preserved it until today, albeit in a slightly modified linguistic and musical form. Most of the songs are being presented to the public for the first time.
