National Institute of Chemistry as a member of the virtual European laboratory for lithium ion batteries is a member of consortium which includes international »Erasmus Mundus« school - Materials for Energy Storage and Conversion. Project leader was thesis advisor for the Spanish student Candela VIDAL-ABARCA GARRIDO, who successfully finished her master study with a defence of thesis "Structural and electrochemical characterisation of lithiated vanadium titanates "LixVTiO4"" in September 2009 in Amiens (France). She is continuing with her PhD study at the University of Cordoba.

This year conference was specialy devoted to the filed of ¨Nanomaterials for energy storage and conversion¨and to ˝Bionanotechnology¨. Organizers of the conference invited several top level world researchers from the devoted fields and this was a motivation for mainly younger collegaues to present their works from different fields of nanotechnology.
