Hydrothermal method is one of several methods that are utilized for the synthesis of nanoparticles of different morphologies. Under hydrothermal conditions the material is either dissolved in the water and subsequently re-precipitates or the water acts as a medium for a reaction in the liquid state, which results in the solid material. In this talk the influence of different reaction parameters like temperature, reaction time, and concentration on the morphology and dimensions of MnO2 and sodium titanate nanostructures were presented.

COBISS.SI-ID: 22495527National Institute of Chemistry was a host for 8. meeting SLONANO 2009: This meeting was organised for researchers that are working on the field of chemistry, physics and other fields in research and industry. This year conference was specialy devoted to the filed of »Nanomaterials for energy storage and conversion« and to »Bionanotechnology«. Organizers of the conference invited several top level world researchers from the devoted fields and this was a motivation for mainly younger collegaues to present their works from different fields of nanotechnology.
