Sodium titanate nanotubes (NaTiNTs) and nanoribbons (NaTiNRs) were doped with Cu2+ ions by two different approaches. In situ doped NaTiNC were synthesized from TiO2 that contained 3 wt. % of Cu2+. For ex situ doping were already synthesized NaTiNCs and NaTiNRs disperezed into the solution of Cu2+ salt. Correlation of HAADF, EELS and EPR techniques for ex situ doped samples revealed that on the nanoparticle surface grow 5-40 nm sized CuO nanoparticles. EPR measurements for both type of samples showed that Cu2+ ions that are intercalated between titanate layers coordinated with Na+ ions.

COBISS.SI-ID: 22024999Fullerenes have in the past 25 years attracted a lot of attention due to their technologically interesting properties. At the Jožef Stefan Institute, the research of fullerenes has been active since 1993 and within this time framework we have achieved many important scientific findings that are reported in more than 100 scientific journals, among which are several articles published in Science). For these achievements in the research of C60 with electron spin resonance was an assistant professor dr. Denis Arčon in 2008 awarded with National award “Zoisovo priznanje”.
