Usually it is assumed, that the validity of the analytical models is independent of the intrinsic electromagnetic parameters of the inclusions and application. We showed with comparison of analytical models, experimental results and numerical models, that this assumption is not neccessary valid. Experimental and numerical results show that there is dependance of the analytical models on the imaginary components of parameters, which is not predicted by the theory. Further we showed that the correlation of different analytical models with experiments depends on the manner of application.
F.02 Acquisition of new scientific knowledge
COBISS.SI-ID: 6317652Based on project the principal investigator also leads development of new absorber materials for application in microwave frequency range, which represents a new R&D programme in the participating company. With analytical models we carried out a directed development of appropriate composite materials and analysis of the competitive products. Based on knowledge of interactions between EM field and composite materials we developed appropriate measurement systems, that served for development of materials, examination of the optimal application, and presentations for the end users.
F.17 Transfer of existing technologies, know-how, methods and procedures into practice
COBISS.SI-ID: 21215015Principal investigator led set-up of a measurement system for characterisation of EM parameters of materials from 100 MHz to 18 GHz. This is first such system in Slovenia and can help in development of new materials for application in the microwave range and serve as a basis for development of new measurement systems. System was key in development of new composite and nano-materials within participating company and contributed to increase of technological level, introduction of new technology of absorber composites, and development of materials for improvement of operation of RFID devices.
