Noise emission of the transformer is mainly result of vibrations of the magnetic core due to magnetostriction and depends on it’s fixation (position, tightness and materials used) and mechanical load. In the studied example the ratio of vibration level between non compressed core and core compressed to 10,2 MPa is approximately 4. While rubber insulation was used and core was compressed to 6,8 MPa, the vibration level was lowered down to 60%. In the case of low compression level (1,36 MPa) the influence of ruber is neglectable.
