Author is presenting a case study of reproductive history of four women, who in the time of the end of the first demographic transition, differently response on changes of “new” time. Analyses of diverse sources of fertility decline in Slovenian parish demonstrate clearly that fertility reduction was not influenced by a single underlying cause, which swept trough society as a whole, even if norms and state views on fertility were changing. Namely, during my research I find out that women of the same social classes and occupations were shown that their different reproductive outcomes.
