Prof.dr. Veronika Kralj-Iglič was a visiting professor at the University of Trieste, Department of Mathematics and Informatics, form June 2008 to September 2008. Within this visit, a theory was elaborated to describe electrostatic properties of two interacting electric double layers. In solving the problem, numerical methods of solving integro-differential equations were used, where the experiences of colleagues from University of Trieste were of utmost importance. The above system is a convenient model for mediated interactions between membranous structures.
